This Privacy Policy explains how California Calculator (californiacalc.com, “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit this website. It applies only to californiacalc.com and not to the government and third-party websites we link to.

Information We Collect
Calculator inputs stay in your browser
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your web browser. The numbers you enter — grades, test scores, weight, drinks, jackpot amounts, bills, trips, and times — are processed on your device and are never sent to our servers or stored by us.
Usage data collected by Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_<ID>) and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the page that referred you, your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, and your approximate location (city, region, and country) derived from your IP address. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
Preferences stored on your device
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. This value never leaves your device.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Server logs
Our hosting provider automatically processes technical request data, such as IP address, browser user agent, and the time of the request, to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse.
How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the website.
- To understand which calculators are useful and improve content and accuracy.
- To respond to messages, correction reports, and feedback you send us.
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, and this site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. You can still use the choices above to limit analytics.
Data Retention & Security
Google Analytics keeps event-level data for the retention period configured in our Analytics property, after which it is deleted. Emails are kept only as long as needed to respond and keep a record of corrections. We use HTTPS for every page, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. High school students may use our GPA and graduation tools; those calculators do not collect or store any of the information entered. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Rights
Because calculator inputs are never collected, the only personal information we may hold is analytics data and any emails you send us. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete that information, or to object to its use. To make a request, email procalculators@outlook.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act gives California residents rights to know, delete, and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing, where the law applies. We do not sell or share personal information. Under California's “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83), you may ask whether we disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not.
Visitors in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom
We process analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site, and we process emails you send us to respond to them. You may access, correct, erase, or restrict this data, object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.
